Beautiful Ideas for a Fall Wedding in Georgia

Real Wedding – Fall Wedding Ideas

Lindsey & Ryan didn’t tour the farm in person until well after they had booked their wedding!

They were living out of state and looking for a North Georgia wedding venue.  A beautiful venue setting is always high on the list when choosing your wedding venue, but needing to plan from another state adds a layer of difficulty.

Trying to search for a venue along with all the other vendors was overwhelming – c’mon, it’s hard when you live in state, can you imagine doing all of it out of state?

Pro Tip: All-inclusive packages (like the ones at Pleasant Union Farm) make planning so much easier!

From Lindsey –

”Pleasant Union Farm was PERFECT for our October wedding!! We were planning a Georgia wedding while living in Virginia and I was so overwhelmed with the search for a venue and then all the other vendors, but [Pleasant Union Farm] made planning the EASIEST process! We were in such capable hands!”

We’re sharing some of our favorite Fall wedding ideas from their October wedding!

Choosing A Fall Wedding Date

Lindsey and Ryan chose a beautiful October wedding day.  October is the most popular month for weddings in North Georgia.  Most of October is dry, cool and surrounded by Fall foliage!

The last weekend in October and first weekend in November are the most common weekends for Peak Leaf season in North Georgia.  If you are looking for that bright, glowing backdrop – those are the weekends to aim for!

Fall Wedding Colors

There is a large range of colorful palettes fit for a Fall wedding – which is great, because you can find a Fall palette that fits you!

For Lindsey and Ryan, they chose shades of cream, orange and peach for a soft Fall palette.  Their florist, Stems Atlanta, incorporated Fall foliage into the arrangements for a fun Fall touch.

Pro tip: It’s ok to choose something “non-traditional” to add to your decor!

Fall foliage in arrangements, Fall fruit like apples in tablescapes or pumpkins (think white and green, not bright orange) for decor.

Have fun with your wedding!

Fall Wedding Flowers

Lindsey’s arrangements were filled with beautiful colors and textures for their October wedding.

Roses are available in so many colors – it’s easy to find a shade to match your Fall wedding palette.  Their florist added in Strawflowers – these add great texture for Fall bouquets.

Stock and small heirloom carnations are other great touches that brought in the peach tones of their palettes.

Some other flowers to consider for Fall weddings are dahlias, chrysanthemums, and astilbe.

Fall Wedding Decor

Lindsey and Ryan chose a mix of flowers and décor to create a simple, but elegant wedding.  The bridesmaid bouquets were added to the tables after the ceremony.

They chose décor from Pleasant Union Farm’s In House décor options in a mix of warm metal tones to complement the florals.  Classic settings of white china and glassware glow under string lights and by candlelight.

Hellen Co Photos did a great job capturing all the details of the end result!

From Lindsey – “The wedding day itself was more than I could have ever hoped for!! My family and I got to show up and simply have a nice time without stressing about arranging centerpieces or coordinating groomsmen – the team had it all taken care of!”
