North Georgia shows beautiful changing seasons throughout the year – giving you plenty of options for a gorgeous and unique wedding.
Pleasant Union Farm is an indoor outdoor Georgia wedding venue that allows you to enjoy the best the seasons offer. The indoor barn reception space has heat and air to keep your guests comfortable no matter what the Georgia weather brings. The reception space easily joins the outdoor space through 4 large sliding doors, a covered porch and surrounding lawn and garden space.
Spring weather starts to warm up in mid-March with the first budding daffodils and early spring flowers. The evenings are often mild and make for perfect cocktail hour weather. Longer days allow for pictures after the ceremony while your guests relax on the covered porch, benches and play a few yard games.
April starts to bring the greenery and even more blooms. Yes, April is known for rain, but we have a plan for ceremony on the covered porch which still allows you full use of the indoor outdoor venue if it does rain. We often catch a break which allows either the ceremony to happen on the lawn or allows pictures around the gardens. The cool weather is a bonus to enjoy the outdoor space and dance away the night!
May begins the transition from Spring to Summer. North Georgia weddings in early to mid-May are some of the best times weather wise. The gardens are lush, green and blooming for amazing pictures. The weather is warm during the day but cools off in the evening. Plus there is the expectation of Summer hanging in the air and everyone is ready to celebrate!
Fall is by far the most popular season for a North Georgia wedding that take full advantage of the indoor outdoor space. Cool evenings begin and that gorgeous Fall sunsets a golden glow to everything.
September is the end of summer filled with warm days but cooler evenings. The gardens are blooming and the sunsets are spectacular. The indoor reception at Pleasant Union Farm space keeps guests cool until the evening moves in and the outdoor porch space is perfect for dancing under string lights.
October is the most popular month by far!
Drier weather means much less chance of a rainy wedding day for a North Georgia wedding. The days are still warm but evenings are cool and comfortable. The leaves begin to change around the farm and we have a mix of green and color throughout the month. This is where our indoor outdoor Georgia venue space shines with doors open to the evening, lights twinkling overhead and guests gathered around the fire pit.
Fall finishes off in November before Thanksgiving. Your best bet for peak leaf color is the first weekend in November (but we can’t guarantee anything!) The leaves glow in the Fall light and give you ample backdrops for gorgeous photos. You will want to use the fire pit, cozy blankets or wraps in the evenings and the temperature does cool off a bit.
